In 1987, Bumblebee the Autobot seeks refuge in a scrap yard in a small coastal city in California. Charlie, about to turn 18 and try to find his place in the world, soon discovers the bumblebee broken and scarred battle. When Charlie relives it, he quickly learns that it is not a common yellow Volkswagen.

Bumblebee is an American sci-fi action film from 2018 centered on the Transformers character of the same name. It is the sixth installment of the Transformers live-action film series and a prequel to the Transformers of 2007. Directed by Travis Knight in his first live action film written by Christina Hodson, starring Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., John Ortiz, Jason Drucker and Pamela Adlon, with Dylan O’Brien, Peter Cullen, Angela Bassett and Justin Theroux in the voice roles.
It’s the first live-action Transformers movie that is not directed by Michael Bay, although he still acts as a producer. The main photography of the film began on July 31, 2017, in Los Angeles and San Francisco, California.
Bumblebee debuted in Berlin on December 3, 2018, and is scheduled for release in the United States on December 21, 2018.
