Halloween 2018 producer Jason Blum has seen the first cut of the movie and sounds excited for fans to see it. The Halloween series has something of a twisted timeline, with various sequels either retconning or flat out ignoring the events of previous movies. The last entry in the franchise was Rob Zombie’s Halloween II, a movie that some love for the way it breaks away from the regular sequel formula, but received mixed reviews upon release. Fans are really excited for the new movie, which is being produced by Blumhouse. Jamie Lee Curtis returns as the original final girl Laurie Strode, who has to protect her family when Michael reappears 40 years after his original rampage. Also returning is series creator John Carpenter – who will exec produce and compose the score – and original Myers performer Nick Castle will make a cameo. Castle’s role in the film was recently clarified; actor James Jude Courtney will portray Michael for the majority of the film, while Castle plays the role for a couple of scenes.
The night HE finally came back home is drawing ever closer! From director David Gordon Green, the next film in the Halloween franchise will be premiering in theaters on Oct. 19 of this year. As the film take the story back to the original by ignoring all of the sequels, Jamie Lee Curtis is back if take on Michael Myers one last time. Needless to say, as a new entry in one of horror’s biggest franchises, it’s one of this year’s most anticipated films. FanSided Entertainment - Daily Highlights Sponsored by Connatix On track to make its release date, filming has wrapped on the movie and a cut has apparently already been pieced together.
